The 2018 Bay Area BIG Bash on the Calypso Queen

Approximately 150 persons cruised the Clearwater bay with the annual Blacks In Government fundraising cruise on Saturday, February 3rd. The group was made up of members of BIG - The Bay Area Blacks In Government Organization and their guests.

Patrons boarded the boat to a glass of Caribbean Rum punch. Following a brief introduction, the boat Calypso Queen lived up to its name. The Caribbean music began swinging soon after everyone enjoyed their sumptuous Caribbean style dinner.  The buffet comprised about 15 dishes from salad to soup, fish, chicken and beef.

As planned, most guests wore masks or costumes. Some of the most exotic entered the contest for best mask.

The winner was Ms. Parvin Thomas and employee at the VA.
